Nigel Mason
Nigel was born in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, in 1952.
After leaving school he worked at several jobs including prop. maker for Yorkshire Television and Harrods, stained glass manufacturer, silk screen printer, kitchen furniture painter and sign writer.
From an early age, Nigel taught himself to paint and this was his major hobby when he moved to Devon in 1982. The landscape of North Devon inspired him to take his painting more seriously.
In 2001 he obtained a Degree in Fine Art from Plymouth University and started teaching art at the North Devon College in Barnstaple.
Today he lives and works from his studio in Ilfracombe, painting landscapes, beach scenes, figures and portraits.
